How do you know if a pair of bindngs that your purchasing will fit your board, or is that not a huge concern?
Also, im looking too purchase a pair of Ride Ex's soon, as by old binding are slowly breaking. Are the ex's a good model to go with? also, what are your experiences with flows/any other step in bindings? Thanks!

All bindings can fit on all boards now a days. Burton uses a 3 pattern drilling system on their boards but everyone else uses a 4 pattern. The burton baseplace can fit any board now because they have made it universal.

Ride EX's are a nice binding, they are fairly heavy but very responsive due to an aluminum baseplate and aluminum molding. They are also very cushy.

Rome bindings are nice. They are a fairly new company with great designers behind them. Some of the Burton produt designers left because they didn't like where the Burton product line was headed and created Rome.

Burton is still the king of bindings in my opinion. They are light, responsive, a lot of bang for the buck and they have perfected the cap strap.

Most new bindings will fit all snowboards - there are two types of mounting patterns - the standard 4 bolt square pattern and Burtons 3 bolt "3D" pattern. Make sure that the binding you are buying support both patterns and what ever board you have in the future will work.

Yes, Burton makes very nice bindings but they are very expensive. I would highly recommend Ride bindings - the EX is the cheapest one that I would buy because it has better hardware and metal buckles - too many bindings are plastic and will break.

I actually use step in bindings (when teaching) but they are not made any more so you would have to find used ones. Flows are OK but they are heavy and expensive. Don't even consider the K2 bindings with flip down high back - they don't last.

Good Luck

I have rode flow, They are no good unless you run the really hi end ones that are like 500, so no go there./.// STEP INS>>>> No GOOD I would suggest a nice burton custom or mission. THe toe cap has such a solid feel and is super responsive. Ride makes good bindings the ex are good and hold up well but im partial to burton and there toe cap. Ride has a cap strap that you can run as a toe cap but it doesnt even compare to burtons toe cap. GO WITH BURTON THere bindings fit just about any board,a nd if they break they will replace them super fast. HAPPY SHREDING!
