Children tend to absord subconsciously the behavioural and thinking patterns of their parents. So by example. Children raised by sociable intelligent people tend to become the virtues instilled by their parents. In the absence of perfection or an ideal, give your child a strong identity of who they are, their place in society, and above all talk to them, even when they seem not to be listening, children absorb facts and given learning deep into their psyche's to be recalled at a later time in life. You would be amazed at how very true this is. Also keep any domestic upheaval and turmoil away from children.
