She smokes cigarettes and has a lower back (tramp stamp) tattoo. They say being seen with her is bad for my reputation. What should I do? I really do like her. But, don't want her to affect my reputation.

Well if you've been together that long you should know her pretty well. Don't go by reputation or what your friends say, if you like her stay with her. Give it some thought if you are really questioning yourself maybe you don't like her as much as you thought you did. If the smokes bother you ask her to try and quit, but don't judge her on her appearance or her past that isn't fair if she is true to you and is a good girlfriend.

Smoking cigarettes is a disgusting habit but doesn't make her a bad person, neither does having a tattoo. If she is a good person, and good to you, and you like her...well. Everyone else can go to hell.

Does Love have anything to do with your decision? If you Love her (really love her), nothing would change your mind about being together. If you don't love her - and I think that if you don't love her after 1 and 1/2 years you won't love her in the future - then do the both of you a favor and end the relationship, it's the most honest thing to do. And it has nothing to do with tattoos.
I was stuck in a 9-years' relationship without real love, until I met the Love of my life and I knew it was going to be that way after about 1 year, but I stayed and regretted it after wards.

i think if you have to ask this question then your gf should be the one dumping you, i think you should be with you girlfriend, your friends are wrong and you shouldnt give a stuff anyway if youv been with her for a year and half
