I agree with previous posts, take care of the car and you will be ahead of the game. As for negative reports about a brand of car, keep in mind that if a good line can have a lemon, a bad line can have an apple. By this I mean that it is impossible to predict this specific car's future, but if it has been a good car for you, enjoy it.
If you want to give yourself insurance, start putting the amount of a car payment in your savings account (if this car is paid off). If you do this, then you get yourself used to making a payment and save up a down-payment, so at the first sign of trouble you can trade in for a new vehicle. Good luck!

The owners manual will give specific info on what parts should be replaced when. My first thought through experiance tells me that the timing belt or chain should be inspected. You do not want this to go, MUCH $$$$. Otherwise just normal stuff, fuel filters shocks and struts, bearings, tranny filter. You may also want to have the injectors tested. Sometimes the resistance will deminish causing fuel problems, this will also relplace the O-rings on the injectors. They tend to break down over time. Otherwise you should be good to go..

Just change oil every 3,000 miles, look in the owners manual on when to get tune-ups like (50k, 150k ect) have the chassis inspected. Joints lubed

Regular oil changes will lengthen the life of any car. Take care of the fluids and the car will take care of you.
