If I was writing at the time I'd do related word exercises or use the thesaurus until I found what I needed. If talking I'd hem and haw, falter, curse, try again, and then just give up in disgust with my self. Then six minutes to three days later when I remember the word I'd blurt it out like a tourettes syndromite feeling foolish yet oddly relieved. Story of my life, loquacious on paper, oh man, whats the word i want here.. Crap. uh so hows the weather, uh loquacious opposite of loquacious, screw it I dont know, so whats up with the Red Socks man?

Why not it can happen, even with the best speakers club, they will certainly lose words when????
1. when they lose focus or concentration
2. they lost track of the topic or issue
3. they dont listen and just listen to themselves
4.they believe too much to their opinions
5.they ignore others presence
My coping skill/s when I am in this kind of trouble, I politely ask again and apologize, I try to redirect their attention to mine as if they were lost not me(hehehe), or simply ask a question as if to serve as a follow up, or yes, I tell them I was suddenly mentlaly-blocked..there and the flow goes on and I am back to my senses again...............ok???

Mostly. Then I panic, which further aggravates the situation. Then its just awkward and I feel like an idiot. Solution: become a hermit.
The real answer is that its all about self-confidence, and thats where you have to go. Be brave, little soldier.
Sorry, I think I'm talking to myself...

Yes loads of times.
I just think of something really funny that happened the day before, then laugh and then explain why you were laughing.
Its a really good conversation starter.
Try it !
