I agree with the first answerer in running CCleaner and not fiddling with the registry manually.
However... I would run the Norton Removal Tool first, just to be sure; then run CCleaner.

Lisa:

Go to start, run and type in: regedit and click on "ok", and your registry will open. Open, HKEY CURRENT USER, open "software", and scroll down the list of registry keys for Nortons or Symantec. If you see the keys, delete them. (Please take your time and care not to delete any other keys, other then the ones mentioned above if they are still in your registry).

I use CCleaner, and will not remove Nortons or Symantec from the registry if it is there. (I don't use Nortons as it is pure garbage, but beta test all antivirus/antispyware). Have alot of knowledge about trying to remove Nortons and all of it 375 fragments left behind in your system.

START>RUN> and type regedit

but be careful. changes to the registry may hurt your computer and not allow it to boot up.

you might want to download and run a registry cleaner that will safely (most of the time) clean up your registry

Don't play,
download ccleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com
run the ccleaner scan and delete all it find's, then run the registry scan and fix all problems, you will be prompted to back up your registry and guided through the process, before fixing is complete.
