thanks everyone for your answers, i have now realised that ive been conned and the home im renting is infact a reposessed home. I need to know how to contact someone about this as im worried i will get thrown out.

I just want to know how i can get in touch with someone about the house as the landlord clearely wont speak to me and is demanding money from me even though he is no longer the owner.

I would like to speak to someone about the reposession of the house

Go down to the courthouse..what you are looking for on the title is the contact information for the TRUSTEE.

You have every reason to be concerned, because this is the ONLY time that the law doesn't require a 30-day notice, because upon foreclosure, the lease is terminated, and the law sides with the bank in getting their property back.

If a lender has taken back ownership of the property involved, chances are good that you will be asked to leave the house, and soon. Lease or rental agreements do not transfer forward to the new owner in the event of a foreclosure. You need to check with your county land office or register of deeds to determine who currently holds title to the property. If it is the former owner at this time, you still owe the rents to the former owner. If it is a lender, withhold rents until you hear further from the new ownership.

First place would be the county clerks office and they will tell you the name and address of the rightfull owner even if its a bank.
