I use the stars so that my contacts can see the questions or I can go back and look at it later easier. I don't know that they make a difference to anything.

Yes to me it does because I only star interesting ones, I just don`t do it because I feel like it.

well, it may popularize the question, and the asker might get more answers, as people tend to read more interesting questions. On the other hand, I can reference to a que back which I think is of importance to me in any way. :)

Yes, then all my contacts can see the q and if they star, their contacts can see it and the q gets around more and gets more answers.

Yes I think it does because then my contacts can see what questions I think are interesting and it prompts them to go and have a look too :)
