Yes I think it bodes well for the Jets. NE cant run the ball at all and with it snowing as much as it is they will need to play on the ground and be physical. Hmmm Isnt that the Jets style? I am putting NE on upset alert!

Ok, so say hypothetically because the weather's bad, the teams need to run the ball. Let's compare rushing stats:
Attempts:
NE: 365
NY: 360
Yards:
NE: 1478
NY: 1344
YPC:
NE: 4.0
NY: 3.7
So by the numbers the Pats have the better rushing game... Now lets look at rushing D.
Attempts:
NE: 302
NY: 405
Yards:
NE: 1295
NY: 1845
YPC:
NE: 4.3
NY: 4.3
So we'll say their rush defenses are identical (and not take into account that Coles & Cotchery are already questionable this week allowing the safeties to play up too).
New England still has the edge, not to mention home field. New England wins a bad weather game 24-10, a good weather game 44-14.
When teams have had to run against the Pats this year, their run D has been pretty good (4th qtr against Baltimore, early in the game against Pitt).

There are 2 problems with your question:
1. Both teams play in the same conditions, so it effects both teams. Since the Jets are from the Northeast, as are the Patriots both teams are pretty used to the snow.
2. Snow effects passing games that are timing based, certainly. But it does not have as big of an impact on passing games that are not, the Patriots do not run many timing based patterns, they play more option patterns and full read patterns therefore its not as difficult. It still can effect recievers when they go to make cuts obviously, but it also effects secondaries especially on go routes. Essentially, depending on the offense its not a big deal to play in snow even if youre a passing team. Patriots have been a throw first team for years, even long before brady when Bledsoe was in and are known for being tougher at home in december and january than any other time of the year.

It probably won't be much of a factor. I'm sure that they have plenty in the playbook. I don't understand why everyone hates the Patriots. I'm not a Pats fan but you at least have to respect what they have done. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Pats put up 60 points on the Jets.....and the Dolphins for that matter.

If there is bad weather anything can happen. In my opinion, the more snow there is the better chance the Jets have of keeping it close, maybe even winning.
Snow will slow everything down, which could actually make Moss coverable. If it's coming down hard, it'll make the ball hard to see, which will eliminate the deep passes, which works to the Jets favor. Really, the weather could end up being the great equilizer.

Where did these idiots that claim the Pats can't run the ball come from?
And I agree, the Jets are an arrogant, annoying team and I have faith they can be beaten this year.

NO!!! Did anybody notice what the Pat's did to the Steelers last week. They even went as far as signaling someone out. Something they just do not do as a rule. Why? Because that was a message to the Mangini!!!!
The point was that was a message to Mangini, how many other member of other teams have said stuff??? Granted is wasn't a gaurentee. But they may have beaten them in the field but didn 't say boo after. I can't remember the last time the critized someone after the game, and believe me they has been a lot of crap said. That's why I say it's going to be a blow out.
Personally I think if the pat's had to lose they would rather lose to Miami then Mangini!!

Yes.
I'd say bad weather would be in favor of the Jets because the they have a better running game than the Patriots.
Throwing the ball 45 times isn't gonna cut it in a blizzard.
To Scott: You can reference Robert Blake and Roger Clemens in your little analogy in the same manner as you did with the others your chose to mention.

No, the Pats can move the ball on the ground as well as through the air. Maybe Brady and Moss get all the glory, but the Pats offensive line is a big part of their success.

Yo Flanders:
It doesn't matter if there is 1 foot or 3 feet of snow in Foxboro on Sunday....the PATS are set to destroy the J-E-T-S and "the Hoodie" will get another pound of flesh from his former student.
Remember, the offense has the advantage in bad weather because they know where they're going.
Final = 48-13

I dont get everyones point about the weather...Brady plays in NE..it snows here..he was out practicing in it Thursday...The jets pretty much get the same weather as NE..The Jets were throwing snowballs at each other Thurs at practice..New York and New England pretty much get the same weather..Regardless this is a noreaster coming..which will include strong winds...so the Pats may be good at best ..becasue they are great and the Jets well if theyre a little worse...theyll just plain ole suck
