and if so what do you think they should offer up?

And who should they try for in the draft?

No why? because it will cost them to much. Someone said they should trade with NE for the 2nd over all. Well that pick is worth 2600 points. As the standings are now the Texans have the 18th pick which is worth 900 points that's a 1700 point difference! So if you think they will finish the same next year, that's another 900 points, your down to 800 points difference left to make up. If they did draft 18th then their 2nd round pick(50th over all) is worth 400, still leaves you with 400 points to make up. Their 3rd round(82 overall) is worth 180, still 280 points to go and you already have given:
up two 1st round picks(1800 points)
a 2nd(400 points)
and a 3rd(180 points), you still have to come up with another 280!!

Sleepless made a great argument as to why the Texans will definitely NOT move up in the draft.

The way I look at it is that the Texans have the following needs - A good corner to compliment Dunta, a good safety, any o-lineman, and a good runningback.

So who will they take in the draft? The best available at any of those positions. So let's say they get.... about the 18th draft pick. Who will be there? Obviously a bunch can happen between now and the draft (players impress/disappoint at the combine). They'd love to get Kenny Phillips if he falls to them (doubtful), maybe someone like Jonathon Stewart will be around, and if neither of them are, then an OT who has potential is bound to be there (there are a lot of them who should go mid first to second round).

The Texans are screwed because they play in that excellent division. Do you realize that they are now 7-3 outside of their division, but they are 0-4 within it? With a few more pieces, I think they will be a contender.

ok this is my strategies on the David Carr subject...Carr grew to become into afraid (IMO) to throw the ball. Now which may be because of the fact he did no longer think of he had sufficient time in the previous he have been given sacked because of the fact the line could no longer carry the protection. the two way there are various subject concerns the Texans could handle QB being one. IMO Carr under no circumstances confirmed a spark of being a stable QB. Now they might use the draft selections they have left to construct up that O-Line!! Now approximately final years draft, i've got reported this one hundred instances. They weren't in any respect going to draft Bush because of the funds he grew to become into asking so as that they could have TRADED OFF THE %.!!! besides Bush did no longer have that extensive of a stand out 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, he performed properly in that previous couple of video games of the season.

Yes, they should trade up. The Pats will most likely be willing to trade away their top 5 pick, so that would be the best opportunity for Houston. They probably don't have any players of interest for NE, but I think they can get the deal done by switching 1st round picks this year and Houston giving NE their first round pick next season.

I think the clear choice for the Texans pick, in that case, would be Darren McFadden, RB from Arkansas.

No, Teaxans are not to bad on defence and offence is there promblem they need a running back or something to play some plays i dont think they trade up thow this years draft is not as rich has it has been in the past so there no need to trade up.

They need OLs and DBs and they will be getting several of those from their own injury list.

Moving up would be overkill in this draft. Moving down would make more sense if they can snag a few free agents along with keeping as many of their better players as possible.

Why not? New England likes to trade down in the first round to pick up extra picks. Lets say they trade 2 first round picks (2008 & 2009) for New England's pick (from SF) which will probably be high enough to get McFadden.

They're not exactly flushed with talent. They would have to give up a player that is very valuable to them to be able to trade up. They probably would not be willing to lose Schaub or Johnson for a risky draft pick.

They should trade Matt Scabb! Sage is 3-0 as a starter and has out played Scabb in everyway.

Edit: Conner you're a moron. Schaub didn't even play last night so how did he lead the team in rushing?

no they shouldnt

if they did there team would lose a leader of there team no matter who they would trade

if they did trade though they should get a running back because after last night schuab almost ahd more rushing yard dor the team.:]
