legally no, you must be 18. but my step son was 17 and moved out from his mothers in northern Illinois. She called cops and they said let him go. But he had to fully support himself with no help from her. Hard to get an apartment or utilities in your name but if you stayed with friends. I personally think 17 is too young and immature to be on your own, but you only asked if it was legal, not what I thought of the idea.

It's better you don't do that.Be a disciplined child of the parents to make them feel proud of you and to avoid many immature acts you will tend to indulge in.Please exercise some restraint in this matter.Build a career .Become self sufficient and mature human in your society and then a time will come when you can decide properly what's good for you .Until then remain loyal to parents, please.

moving out?! I would love if I could move in... Free place, free food everything is free. I moved out around 10 years ago when i was 18, have been enjoying some advantages but still if I could, i would stay a bit longer.

You have to be 18... But girl, parents are supposed to be a pain in the ***! So really think it through!! Itsnt easy on your own, and it will never be... I hope you can work things out with your parents instead of moving out, living on your own.

no, never leave your family without asking permission if they do. then be happy but if they not be satisfied parent only want happiness and security for their child your parent would like probably to take care of you, if you leave without asking permission it will just break your heart. probably it is not good so what if your old... the world is so big with so big things bad things may happen to you... thats why your parents want you to stay with them its not for them its for your own good... when you grow up and have a family of your own you will realize that what if your daughter/son did that to you... i am not stopping you but i prefer for you to think about it... they are your parents maybe staying with them can be gift for everthing they have done just to keep you happy :)

Goodluck on your Decision

Ask your college counselor or adviser. My step-son dropped out of high school at sixteen (in Idaho) without parental consent. i understand you reported you probably did no longer elect encouragement - even though it extremely is going to likely be plenty extra elementary to get your degree now than it extremely is going to likely be later. in spite of your determination - hold close in there and good success.
