1. They are useful for parents trying to keep track of kids, you can even put GPS on it. Dont put a contract on it. Only enough to make a couple of calls to home.
2. Hey, they can do what they want. If they are bringing down the value of properties consult a lawyer as there may be a ristriction on them doing that.

4. Well considering how many millions of stars there are I would not be surprised if one has a planet to sustain intelligent life.
