I think it's relaxing. I mean, I can laugh in any way I want without being laughed at, I can eat candy without it being eaten by someone else, and there's no background commentary! =] lol.

No, there are some movies that are better to watch alone. Deeper, more emotional movies are something you'd probably want to watch by yourself, where comedies and the like is something you'd rather watch with friends. But even comedies, for me, are a good way to wind down some stress after a long week of schoolwork late at night when I just need to relax.

I had always enjoyed watching movies with my wife. I have been widowed for ten years now. If I did not watch movies alone I would not watch any. Watching movies alone I can watch anything I want. I do go back and watch some of my wifes and my favorites from years ago. Brings back memories of a lot of the good times.

I generally watch movies by myself many times as my wife, God bless her, has no desire to view the same films I like. Plus, I don't like distractions, i.e., too much noise, so I'm either watching dvds
of films or tv in the privacy of my room while others are sleeping or off to work(I work at nights, by the way), or on my nights off, if I'm not involved with something else(wink, wink), I'll be awake anyway because of my work schedule, and generally watch a movie or tv show around 2 AM to
6AM because I can't sleep! Either a cable channel like HBO,Cinemax,Showtime, or a pay per view channel...BUT, usually I'll find something on Turner Classic Movies or The Cartoon Network
that keeps my interest. early in the AM is the best time to watch films and such on TV...NO NOISE!!!

Of course not. Nobody can have companionship 100% of the time. If you want to see a movie and have no one there, just go ahead and enjoy the movie.
Now, if you almost never have someone to watch with you, you need to look at your life and see why you are alone so much. Then you may need to make some changes in your life so that you can make friends.
Hang in there and don't worry about stuff, it just makes you unhappy.

I hope I am correct in assuming you are a guy? If so, has it crossed your mind that she may like you and is asking you out? Just a thought though. And, no, I don't think it's weird to go to a movie alone:)

Certainly not, I have been married for about one and a half million years now, my wife enjoys watching movies about an ex race horse with three legs which with a bit of tender care and lots of affection goes on to win the grand national, it (the horse) has a new stump thingy fitted and they all live happy ever after!
I on the other hand like to see movies or documentaries about crime or ancient Egypt!!
Talk about; 'the twain shall never meet'?
So I do my own thing , she does hers.

No. I do it all the time when my kid is down for a nap. It is the only lime I get to watch grown up shows. When the hubby is home we watch mainly his stuff and guy movies because we thought it would be a good idea to hook the cable up in the living room only. Not a good idea because we fight over what to watch but it keeps us in the same room.
Budding Author: I love the expression of you being married one and a half million years! It does tend to seem that way at times! :)

I think not, but it will be better to have at least a company with you to watch. How will the experience be complete without someone with? Would you just like to be having fun all by yourself? It will be better to have someone so that not only you will be enjoying to watch but also the both or the rest of you watching the movie.
