It would be difficult to seek reparation from the Roman Empire that fed the christians to the lions; I guess if the Roman Empire were still around and if there were still christians (having not all been fed to lions) then I would say that yes, they should receive reparations or at least should have at some point. Of course, christians are still around and the Roman Empire is gone; so I think we can all see who got the raw end of that deal. The same reasoning can be made for the Ottoman Empire.

If a country or ruling entity is still around which enslaved people who are also still around then yes, I would say there should be reparations.
