Heathrow is West London, Wembley is North West London, but it is still a long way, a black cab will be very expensive, a minicab less so. This is probably quicker, unless it is rush hour. Taking public transport means you would have to go into Central London, and then back out again, longer, but cheaper.
Check the TFL website for public transport links, will give precise information.

There is no direct public transport link between Heathrow and Wembley; the fastest route would probably be to take the 'Heathrow Connect' train from Heathrow to Ealing Broadway then the 83 bus route.

If you take the tube, it will take over an hour - Piccadilly Line to Green Park, then Jubilee Line to Wembley Park. The quickest way outside rush hour to go is in a taxi, but avoid black cabs because that will cost you £50 and book a minicab instead.

Tube is easiest, its certainly cheapest and probably quickest - Wembley Central is a short walk from the stadium.
Taxi is likely to cost £50ish although you could get a cheaper deal if you book a minicab.
