Yes, but there has to be a spark between friends as well as lovers. If someone likes you too much in a sort of one sided way then that can make you feel very uncomfortable and I tend to steer clear of people that like me too much. Example: Nice man who works as a driver/runner for our company always offers to do things for me the whole time. I have used him before and very consious that I did. Whenever he arrives at work I can see him looking at me and it makes me feel uncomfortable. I think I would like him too but he is OTT with it.

well ... some people are boring, some people are annoying, with some people I simply have nothing to talk about ... some I can't trust, some I think are mean, ad manipulative ... I can't be friends with -anyone- ... I take friendships very seriously, and they mean a lot to me ... I don't have too many friends, but the ones I do have are like family ...

trouble is they dont just stop there in my experience
they say they just want to be your friend and then start getting all attached when you said you werent interested right from the start in anything more than friendship
and then they get all funny with you because you say no to a relationship!
Thats my experience anyway

The problem is hun, you cant force someone to like you, you may want a freindship with them, but they may not want that with you....! You have to respect other peoples wishes as well as your own...Its sad but hun just life x
