Yes, Catholics are supposed to accept everyone, no matter where they come from, what they look like or what they do.

I am Catholic and I do not despise homosexuals. My sister is a lesbian, and I like her and her girlfriend very much. I've had many friends over the years who are gay. I don't know any transsexuals, but I'm sure if I met one, I would find something good in them. You can with any person. So no, I don't hate gay people. I can't speak for everyone, but I can tell you for a fact that the Church does NOT teach people to despise homosexuals or transsexuals.

As for marriage, whatever the union is between two people of the same gender, it's their business, but it's not marriage. Marriage has ALWAYS been defined in every single culture and in every single religion as the union of one man and one woman that allows for the potential to create children. Two men can never have a child together -- they need a woman to provide the ova and the womb, and then only one of the men can be involved. Two women can never have a child together - they need a man to provide the sperm and then only one of them can conceive and bear the child.

Marriage means the marrying of two blood lines (two different sets of DNA), which is manifest in the conception of a child. It's biologically impossible for this to happen between two men or two women, so what they have is not marriage. It's something else. And that shouldn't bother anybody. It's perfectly okay to be different and to have different things from other people.

I don't, and I know many Catholics who don't either. There are some religious people (yes, including much of the church) who like to interpret the Bible in such a way, and they're not all Catholics. Catholicism is probably the most prominent christian religion so it seems like that. But they 'despise' their lifestyle, not them.
However, I don't agree with this. The catholic church has an extremely conservative stance on this. Being a church it's expected to be conservative. It'll take time, many laypeople accept contemporary society and it'll also take time for hypocrisy to stop in the church.

... because God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.... I am a Catholic too. But I don't see any person based on his or her outside qualities, I look what's beyond his or her physical characteristics. Everyone is a sinner. It's not right to see other's faults because nobody is perfect in this world.

We do not despise them. To do so is a sin. We cannot condone a lifestyle which is contrary to the Lord's teaching, but we do not hate them.
