It depends on your state. In some states you can register while you are 17 so long as you are 18 on the day of the election. Some states let you register on election day. Other states require you be 18 by the time of the registration deadline which can be up to 30 days in advance.
To find out, click here and find your state. The requirements are listed: http://www.declareyourself.com/voting_faq/state_by_state_info_2.html

Most likely you can try registering a few weeks/month before. Most states I know allow for registration by 17 year-olds if their birthday is close to election day.
Whichever way you vote, you should give yourself a pat on the back for participating in the democratic process.

Yes! As a fellow Scorpio, Born on 11/2, I can tell you from personal experience that you can register three months before the election, so long as you will be eighteen on election day. My first election was on my 18th birthday.
The "three months" figure may vary from state to state and from time to time, but it's a safe bet that if you register, say, thirty days before your state's deadline, you'll be fine.
Note that you will be underage for any primaries in your state, and cannot register to vote in those, even though you'll be of age for the general election.

I would go fill out a voter registration card, usually you can get them at the DMV, the post office, or even a public library.
Then you will know your registered.
