guess it would depend on the situation....did you have plans together already??? if so...i'd change the locks before he got home. if not, and a friend called and asked him to spend an evening out with him....i say let him go and have fun. we all need our down time. my husband and i spend most of our time together except when he's at work, but there are times when i just don't feel like being around him.....doesn't mean i don't love him. i love him very much but i need MY time also....

I would feel very neglected. My husband and I have mutual friends, and not a lot really. We're each other's best friend and we do everything together. We keep a very open and close relationship though so him blowing me off to go get drunk would never happen. I think maybe hanging out with friends is fine when both people agree on it, but as far as "blowing" the spouse off to go do it, I don't agree with at all.

I would feel "normal". Welcome to marriage and reality. You should have learned the facts of life before you got married:

1. There is no Santa
2. There might be a Bigfoot
3. All men cheat, almost all women cheat
4. Marriage ruins relationships (moving in is the same)
5. Everyone lies (you even lie to yourself)
6. Life is not fair

Good luck and Happy Holidays. Email me
if you want to hear the truth. You can ask me anything.
I don't lie.

It shows where he puts his priorities.
I think you need to prioritise what is important in your life too.
And to be honest, this waste of space doesn't believe that you are high on his priority list, so make sure he is down your list too.
That is just disgraceful, a man, a proper man, would make sure his loved one is comfortable with whatever he does.
He seriously needs to take a look at his life if he thinks drinking buddies wil look after him after you have gone.
We men can be such unfeeling dipsticks, some, but by no means all.
Have a night out with the girls, let him get his own dinner, enjoy yourself.

Edit: 008 DOES lie, ..not all men cheat.
Don't fret, we men are NOT all the same.
We can be as decent and as good as you want us. Just find the right one.

Let the man drink! Men dont think like women, and when they start to feel smothered or overwhelmed, they disapear for a minute. It doesnt mean he doesnt love you, it just means that he needs some "him" time. He cant be stuck in the house like a hermit! And neither can you! Being stuck wsith someone constantly can get tiring!

I'd think they were all up to no good... divorce would really look like the option...

I would really believe they were out messing around w/ women... and it would be over...

There's more to this story your not sharing. How often does he do this? What were you two planning on doing? Are you trying to hang on while he's trying to let go? Your not being really specific.

i would know he had no feelings for me and in the future there would be more displays of disrespect coming my way. i would confront it right away tell him my feelings, and how hurt it made me feel. if he wanted to continue doing the same things to me i would end the marriage and be on my merry way.
