What does this abbreviation mean in a floorplan?
i was looking at an apartment when i came across the MECH...what does that mean? the link is below if anyone know what it means..i'm puzzled.

It means mechanical room. This is where things like the hot water heater, furnace, breaker box and pressure tank are located. In most houses it would be in the cellar. In this building each unit has its own services. You should be glad to have access to these things in case you trip a breaker or want to adjust your hot water temperature.

In apartments I think it relates to mechanical services relating to the building, ie: power, water, heating etc units that serve all the floors. Is this a ground floor apartment?

it is the mechanical room. This is where the furnace and the cold water heater are located. After all why would you heat hot water?

As far as I know, it means "Mechanical", such as water heater and furnace.
