It would be illegal and dangerous. If you found an orphaned bear cub or fox kit, you should contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. You can find one here: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/contact.htm

These people have the specialized training to care for sick, injured and orphaned wild animals. They also have the required state and federal licenses that allow them to keep these animals until they are healthy enough to be released back into the wild.

It would be a mistake to try. These are wild animals - you may be able to tame them enough to handle, but you will not be able to domesticate them. Domestication takes hundreds of generations of breeding and work.

People have been guilty all over of thinking they can keep wild animals as pets and they, or their communities have suffered the consequences.

Keeping a bear cub would be a particularly ridiculous thing to do as it would grow in to an enormous animal and apart from being plain dangerous to live with humans, it would also be animal cruelty.
