Its not wise to take any pills during pregnancy with out seeking advice from a Dr. It is common to have itching with pregnancy but bad itching without dry skin can be a sign of a liver problem. so its best if she goes to see her doctor. She could always try using a cream like cocoa butter as this is fab. I use it all the time for my bump!.
Take care

No, she needs to see a doctor. Extreme itching is actually a sign of pruritis and is a problem with the liver. she may have to be induced! Hurry

Not a good idea to take pills. Whatever she puts in her body goes to the baby. They share blood... Its not safe to just take pills she should talk to a doctor. It could have really adverse affects.

That is definitely something she should be asking her doctor. Typically, you can't take most kinds of pills when you're pregnant, but I don't know for sure. The only one who would really know is a physician.

If anything should go wrong because you took advice from here, what would you do? Ask here?
Go and ask a Pharmacist ~ particularly as there seems to be a reluctance to consult a Medical Practitioner.
