MG Stands for Morris Garages, it's a cool little British sports car company.

With British built cars it has always stood for Morris Garages where the first ones were made.
If you get one made in China where all the designs and tooling have gone to (good old New Labour) it stands for 'Modern Gentleman' (!).

when it was cold and damp it stood for might go.
if you bought the "B" model it ment might go bad, and usually did but they were lots of fun when the sun was out and the temp. was 82 F with the top down all else was instantly forgiven. morris garages.

Yes it is Morris Garages but soon they will be on sale again in UK but made in China, what a sad relection on our heritage!
