Ok here is the real story that happened then.

At first, the women held high positions, are respected and regarded. This is because of the ability of women to conceive life in their womb and bring it to the world. This ability is especially amazing especially during the time that survival of the species is the priority. Thus God is considered female, therefore Goddess. Men have no place in important positions then. Like in ants, they were just the workers. They were not even allowed to vote.

And because women ruled, only the good-looking and robust men were favored. The ugly and unhealthy ones' genes were expected to perish. That was the way it was.

Until the ugly men couldn't take it no more. They'd had enough of being oppressed. They discovered that there is a way to dominate women and that is by inflicting fear. They made the myth that there is a male figure, physically stronger, frighteningly ugly, cunning and evil that opposes the Goddess and takes away her offsprings. This is how the entity, which we know now as "Satan", came to life. And there goes the power of the Goddess and also of the women.

When fear dominated, women are powerless. Then God became male in stories and myths because of a certain good-looking and powerful entity that protects the Goddess and fights the Evil one with swords and mighty arrows. Then it came, why not? The one protecting the Goddess is the true God, after all He is the more able - more than able. Then kings, beside queens, rose into power. God began to have an army with spears and swords that fight for Him. He became the God of War. Wars were waged. And so it goes...

Haven't you ever wondered why it is wired in the brains of mothers the fear that something or someone is going to take away their child? It is an inexplicable paranoia created only by a myth - a myth designed to usurp power. Myths such as a hideous creature perched on top of the roof, with long string-like tongue that burrows through the roof and into the belly of the unsuspecting sleeping pregnant woman. There's even visions of this in the revelations part of the bible, about the woman clothed by the sun about to give birth and a beast ready to swallow her child. And many more...

Ever wondered too why myths and legends were so popular during the olden times, even though they really don't make sense? Well, this was why. Myths proved to be able to change the course of history.

Interesting question!

Woman is to man as the slave to the master, the manual to the mental worker, the barbarian to the Greek. Woman is an unfinished man, left standing on a lower step in the scale of development. The male is by nature superior, and the female inferior. The one rules and the other is ruled. And this principle extends, of necessity, to all mankind. Woman is weak of will, and therefore incapable of independence of character or position. Her best condition is a quiet home life in which, while ruled by the man in her external relations, she may be in domestic affairs supreme. Women should not be made more like men, s in Plato's Republic. Rather the dissimilarity should be increased. Nothing is so attractive s the different. The courage of a man is shown in commanding; that of a woman in obeying.... As the poet says, "Silence is a woman's glory".

However, the above-statement may be true before because of man's dominance over the women. But on the onset of the modern world particularly on the Gender Sensitivity. This may no longer apply because of the equality of man and woman. There is now a great empowerment of women's towards their assertion of their rights which must be seen as a valid act after all.

Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

I have found with other women and myself, of course, not to sound like a blame game but, yeah. Every insecurity that a woman has stems from a man putting her down or maybe the fact that statistically we get paid less in the workplace, our health insurance is higher. Sometimes it seems like everything is against us. MTV, Vogue & the media in general doesn't help, brainwashing young men to the need that we have to look perfect and be perfect and young girls/women just keep on striving for it but, for some men/women it will never be enough. The trend of men being superior to women is soooo long passed down I don't know how long it will take to reverse it. Great question, good luck.

There can be no arguing that in many cases women are oppressed by men. Also 1 can argue that the general nature of men & women differ. Men being physically larger & more domineering(perhaps a behavior born out of their physical role). Whilst women are apt to be submissive, yet can still easily play the controlling role by subtle manipulation. These of course are just generalization, & i hope they dont make me appear chauvanistic. That said, there are many example & much evidence to suggest that woman throughout historry have at times played the dominanate role. Such as: Cleopatra, Catherine the great, Hillary Clinton(just kidding)
Also in the book 'clan of the cave bear' women became powerful & dominant through their furtility & ability to provide a tribe with many warriors.

I was discussing this subject with a friend of mine the other day, and he made an interesting point.

When a baby is born, everybody knows who the mother is, but anybody could be the father.

In a matriarchal society where lineage is through the mother, it doesn't matter who the father is. In a patriarchal society where lineage is through the father, it is important to know who the father is.

If you don't have domination and control over the women in a patriarchal society, you have questions of lineage, birthrights, and inheritance. By controlling women, the men in patriarchal societies ensure their bloodline is theirs.

I'm not 100% convinced that this is the only reason, but it was an "aha" moment for me. When you think of it in this context, many of the strange old testament (and modern cave-man) rules start to make sense.

Maybe. Men were able to seize the key positions due to the nature of earlier society, in which there was the rule of the hunters, and the physically fit men were able to bring food and survive. Matriarchy were based on more stantial settlement, in which women had the key to power, but eventually, the patriarchy won. The shift in role was then settled: men were able to fight, women had to care for childrens. When war and hunt became less practical, men turned to commerce, and women were left caring for childrens. From the Middle Ages to now, men were deemed able to continue the family line, women only to be transmitted as properties. And that crappy thing stuck

"Soul Mates and Twin Flames," Elizabeth Clare Prophet, and "Sexual Force or the Winged Dragon," O. M. Aivanhov.

It is a mutual negativity. Men tend to dominate, by nature being more initiatory. Misuse of this masculine quality, combined with feminine misuse of their receptivity, personalness, and desire for completing initiation, have all contributed to the problem of "gender iniquity." Different people, and even cultures, have different karmic patterns, based on personal choices, including wrong choices.

It is not an "either/or" situation, not a "blame game;" while constructive criticism is worthwhile, simply castigating one group or the other as the villain is erroneous, prejudicial.

Men try to dominate women, but they're not doing such a good job of it lately, in my opinion.

And yeah, I believe in the past that women were raised to believe that they were the lesser of the two sexes, so they never thought they had the power to rise up and demand and gain equal rights for themselves. The "Cinderella Syndrome" causes a lot of modern day women and girls to believe to this day that they have to wait for a man to come along and take care of them, so to an extent, the cycle is still perpetuating itself.

It started out because men are inherently physically stronger than women, thus able to dominate just as a stronger man could dominate a weaker man. But now physical strength isn't as important as it was, so if you're still being dominated, you just have poor taste in men.
