A very satisfying job, especially when you see how your students progress and change through your guidance.
It is not a very highly paid job but you feel great because you are able to mold and develop students]abilities ,capabilities and behavior.I can't make a comparison with other profession because I am not familiar with the nature of work they do.The teaching profession is unique in the sense that you are dealing with young minds, and what these young minds learn from you through your teaching or attitude can create a lasting impact in their lives.

Teaching is one of the most rewarding professions possible. I cannot describe the feeling it gives you to know that you've truly made a difference in a kid's life for the better. You are rewarded for your work with every small success that your students have. I, personally, look forward to going to work every day because I know that so many people depend on me.
There are, of course, negative aspects of the job such as, dealing with difficult students/behavior issues, not-so-great pay, and high standards pressure. It's not for everyone, but for those who are meant for it, it's so worth it.

Teaching is a ministry. When you teach, you share everything to your students. Usually, an effective teacher can change more lives. Without a teacher, there will be no professionals in this world.

compare to which professions?
Compared to being a sewage worker, it's probably amazing, to a skydiving instructor, it's probably boring. What other professions do you want to compare it to??

Your question has not much meaning though! How does an apple compare to other fruits? You should be some more specific that people know what you mean.

Well, my mom was a college professor for 25 years. She always said she loved it because it was fulfilling to help someone shape their life for the better and holidays/summers off and paid for, right? :) My mother was a great teacher, too.
