He has also got 109* at Lord's Test.

I don't know why all people say that he is overrated player?

He gets chance when some reputed player gets injured...!

Don't forget he was also highest wicket taker from India in Word Cup 2007 (West Indies).

In 20-20 World cup in match vs NZ his figures are 4-1-34-1 when Shane Bond's are 3-0-36-0 in that case we blambed Ajit no talk about Bond?

I want Ajit back in Team, what do you think?

I don't agree with Paresh:
Zaheer and Ajit are of same age
Kumble's Age ?

If you think that Ajit is ODI player then why he is (was) not in ODI team.

I can list here name of players who has potential and proved thenselves but not able to find fix place in Team India.

Ajit Agarkar
Ramesh Powar
Piyush Chawala
Sairaj Bahutule
Sanjay Bangar
Shivsundar Das
Akash Chopra
Ritender Singh Sodhi
Hemag Badani
Ajay Ratra
and many more....

yea... u r true... since India cant really take injured players and expect them to deliver 30-40 overs per innings, v need sme one who s experienced and more importantly sme1 who could be a strike bowler... since agarkar can swing the bowl he could be a suitable openin bowler along wit zaheer... i truly support ur idea...

Ajit Agarkar was once considered as the future all rounder for india and he has potential for the same. However, he has failed to perform to his potential either with the bat or ball in the recent past.

I think I heard that somewhere before. But I wasn't sure. Anyway, in my opinion, Australia and India are playing each other too often. Sure, it's exciting, but there would be a lot more to look forward to if it was played once in a while.

Their are many good bowlers than ajit agarkar.. among irfan, zaheer, sree, rp, sharma, balaji, ashish, are much much better then ajit.. he should stop dreaming of making a comeback.. BCCI has given him many chances .. he did not fare well.. so we have to give him a FAREWWLL... Good Bye Ajit

He's a good ODI player as most of the records above suggest but he's not right for test matches.

well ajit is not in the team because he has not performed of his potential and certainly he is capable and has good experience against australia. I think murli kartik, pathiv and ajit could have place in place of sehwag, dinesh kartik and pankajsingh

Inconsistency has been his biggest problem. He is talented and on a given day he is as goos as any swing bowler. He has the ability of bowling some unplayable deliveries.
But he isn't consistent.

Well I feel bad for him. But he his also responsible for this postion. He has not performed as per his potential and not lived to the expectations(looking to his capability)
