If it was me, I would take the nappy off, clean off the mess and leave the nappy off for 15 minutes until the bath was ready. Little ones love to kick the legs about freely for a while. Besides their is not much chance they would have an accident in that short space of time. Oh make sure the room is warm too, don't want them getting a chill.

Yeah i would change his nappy then i would let him run around without one on for 10 minutes, avoiding all accidents!!!.. As they do happen,, When i put my 10 month old in the bath she has done her poo in the bath 4 times. Babies are so unpredictable aren't they.. But theres one ting i do know and that is babies love to run around without their nappies on. And its also good for the baby to get a bit of airing without the nappy on now and again. xx I hope all goes well. x

I've had this happen a few times lol, I normally take her nappy straight off, wipe her bum then put her straight in the bath, everything else can wait.
I have had it happen though that my girls been playing about & by accident i realise she's filled her nappy, some of them have a sweet smell that i don't pick up so go unnoticed. When this has happened she's got a rash from it so i won't hesitate to bath her & apply cream.

I think I'd just probably bath him 15 mins early, or better still, take the nappy off, clean him and leave him with no nappy for a few mins.
Babies need to be bare sometimes, it's not good to be in nappies all day and night!

I would either bath her 15 minutes earlier or change nappy and then if it was still dry when I bathed her, put it back on after the bath

This is so funny! If the baby poo/diaper full, bathe the kid. If the baby had already bathed n poo again, just rinse him/her bottom after cotton-ball or wet-wipe. Can't be too rigid.
A clean baby is a healthy baby, a healthy baby is a HAPPY child!

dont no why people get so worked up at things. if you were out shopping you wouldnt be able to change your baby the second he/she pooed. it would at least 10 mins till you could find facilities to change them. i normally leave my daughter about 10 mins to make sure shes finished. sometimes they get distracted & then start again. so my answer is yes as long as they werent in any discomfort. im a mam of 3 & never had any nappy rash issues.

lmao,,, gee people need to relax!!!!! im a mum of 4, i do everything wrong according to these goody two shoes mothers,,, i let my baby eat chocolate, my kids stay up late, i let them play ps2 games that are rated 15+ , i asked if i could find safe nail polish for a baby and i get answers that abuse me, the list goes on and on, i now dont give out too much info in fear of being hurt by their comments!
if they knew me personally they wouldnt realise that i came from a strict up bringing, i was married before i had sex, my 4 children are very well mannered and i give them so much love and care, they have no right to judge me!
and to answer your question,,, i would let my baby sit in poo till i bathed her, or till she made more poo as it takes her a while sometimes! as soon as i see that she done a poo i dont run off and change her, i do have things to do- like the poo aint gonna kill her, lol

Well that would be my cue to get her bath ready 15 minutes earlier.
My little girl does this before bathtime all the time...Just as I am getting off her clothes. I just let her lay there in the buff for a bit. She LOVES having no diaper on...think about how good it feels to "air out" once in awhile =)
