you don't need to explain it's jargon. hot drinks, two pairs of socks, a warm pu ssy. (that's jargon for a pet cat)

I turn up the heater and keep on fleece all day. Outside I wear a layered coat and a stocking hat and wind-proof gloves. I try to spend as little time outside as possible.

im having the same dilemma here in denver. its so cold! i got a warm housecoat, warm pjs, socks, and i got the heat turned up to 85. hot cocoa is also a good treat when its cold and some chicken noodle soup

argh don't talk about heating!!!!! I have been without gas for nearly a month now. I'm just having a cup of tea now, preparing to do battle with British gas. there is a fault on my meter and all they do is keep sending me new cards or telling me to buy one. I'm spitting blood!!!
ooh and you are right, it certainly is brass monkey weather, I'm a walking icicle!!!!

Indoors with a hot water bottle stuck up my jumper, outdoors by wearing lots of layers and making sure I've eaten well!

By dressing up nice and warm and going for a walk. No such thing as too cold; only bad choice of clothing.

wear a coat over a shirt and a jacket and dont forget the gloves and also the overcoat and then wear leather boots that should keep you warm

stay inside, lol. only go out for food or work. although, it is above zero here, so it's not too bad right now. when it gets to minus 30 ambient temp, then it's cold.

(it's not often I say that to a lady!)
actually it's quite temperate here, today... yesterday i spent bluddy ages getting the ice off the car windows... today, not a sign of any ice
