Portugal was the first European nation to get into the act starting with a slave-trading raid on an African village in 1444. By 1498, they had reached India and established a foothold there in Goa which India didn't get back until 1961.

Macao, in China, was a little different. The Portuguese did not use gun-boat diplomacy to take that place. The Chinese government allowed them to establish a trading post there.

The Dutch came next and drove the Portuguese out of Ceylon and Taiwan (Formosa).

Then, the British came along and eventually displaced the Dutch in South Africa and Ceylon. About the same time the French began gaining some footholds along the West African Coast.

Swedes and Danes were also a little active in Africa too in Ghana and Togo but they were mainly interested in having places as whaling stations rather than as permanent colonies.

By, the Mid-1700's, the French and British were actively competing with each other for control of India. Eventually, the British got most of it but as part of a gentleman's agreement, they allowed the Portuguese to keep their three enclaves and the French to keep Pondicherry and Yanaon.

The Germans were among the last Europeans to enter the picture in the late 1800's under Bismark. They had African colonies in Togo, Southwest Africa (now Namibia) and Tangyanika (now Tanazania). They had no colonies in India but offices in China and a few colonies in the Pacific like American Samoa, the Marshal Islands and the Gilbert Islands (Kiribati). The Italians tried to get an office in China too but the Chinese successfully rejected them.

Also among the last Europeans to come into Africa were the Italians and the Belgians. The Italians tried unsuccesfully to conquer Ethiopia in 1896 but returned with a vengeance in 1935 and conquered it under Mussolini. They also acquired Somalia as a protectorate in 1889 and maintained a presence there until 1960.

In China, Britain was the main imperialist aggressor seizing Hong Kong through typical gun-boat diplomacy in 1841. The French later acquired trading concessions in a few southern Chinese cities in 1885. The Russians were also active around China's northern border taking some territory from China in 1860 that included Vladivostok. They also occupied Port Arthur in Northeast China temporarily. Port Arthur was later occupied by the Japanese.

Nevertheless, China was still never colonized in the way that Africa and India were. Despite the loss of some territory to Russia and a humiliating lease of The New Territories - north of Hong kong - to Britain in 1898, it still remained basically a sovoreign, independent nation throughout this period. However, the Chinese did unfortuanetly misrule themselves and that misrule would later result in the Communist takeover half a century later in 1949.

It's somewhat incorrect to include China as being "imperialized." China was only semi-colonial. Africa and the Pacific were completely colonial.
