Delhi is the place where the politicians work to sell our country to outsiders. Also the best dwelling place for murderers, rapists and all other criminals.
Mumbai is the place where the business honchos work to buy business of other countries....that is the difference...
I always prefer Mumbai over Delhi...
BTW....don't claim the Taj to be in Delhi

I'm an Aussie who lives near Canberra (in the 'bush'). I much prefer Melbourne to Sydney - it's more 'civilised' - having great restaurants, cultural events, sporting facilities etc. It's a very orderly city for such a "big" city and seems to do things more imaginatively. The MCG is amazing when its full - there were 98,000 people there for the Aussie Rules grand final - sensational!!! Then in order after Melbourne I like Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Canberra, Brisbane (I'd love it if it wasn't so hot and sticky), Sydney. I haven't been to India yet but I've always wanted to go to Chennai for a Test Match and I want to see Kashmir and then go up to Nepal. I'd love to experience Kolkatta as well and see Eden Gardens.

I live in Mumbai but I find that these both the cities are not worth enjoying life.

well its hard to decide. mumbai is full with spirit but delhi is'nt as it suffers frequent climate changes. delhi is spacious but in mumbai its the real problem. it dosent matter in mumbai what car you own or where do you live but in delhi it matters .
mumbai is crowded but is a real place to enjoy. delhi is rich in scenic beauty and is good in fashion industry. but mumbai has all the film industries. in delhi autorickshaws cheat but in mumbai its not so.
