Children do not have the choice of being born in the first place, therefore they can never be in debt to the ones who chose to begin their existence. If anything, their parents owe them for making them live in this harsh world.

My children DO owe me something.
They owe me respect as long as I remain the mother that puts their welfare first.
They owe me to make the most of their life and to do their best to be happy.
They owe it to me to stay as healthy as they can.
They owe me a few willing hugs now and then and perhaps a kiss on the cheek once in a while.
They owe me obedience because they are still minors and need to follow the rules for their own safety.
As for money or anything material like that, no, they don't owe me. I do things for them because I love them and as long as they take care of the person I love (them) and give me the respect a child owes a loving parent, I'll consider the debts paid in full.

I agree.
You don't have kids so thy can owe you, that's not good parenting.
If you feel that thy owe you, for what being BORN?

I would appreciate it if they love me as much as I love them. But "owe" me? No.

Mine have no outstanding loans. All I ask is for their respect and unconditional love just as I give them.
