For some reason I have 11wks in my head but I don't know if that is correct or if they can possibly hear it earlier.

I would like to go to the doctor and ask them to see if they can hear the baby yet just to put my mind at ease from some paranoia/fears I've been having lately. But I don't want to go too early and then be twice as worried and disappointed if they don't hear it. I have an ultrasound in 2.5 weeks but I want to go to the docs next week because I don't think I can wait that long.

I was 10weeks yesterday and feel totally un-pregnant! All my nausea, sore breasts and tiredness seems to have dissapated somewhat and I just have a 'feeling' things may not be a-ok.

when do you think they should be able to hear it. At 7wk u/s, all was well and babies heart was beating 150bmp.

I think it 10 weeks where it is possible, but doctor are very careful with that suggestion since the baby could be laying behind the placenta or way in the back and they would not be able to pick it up.
The first time they tried for mine was at 12 weeks and they were surprised to hear it so strong. The second time was at 16 weeks and they had more trouble finding it. It scared me at first but they asked what time of day my last appointment was, and it was 8 am. My second was at 11. So he was probably sleeping somewhere and he was hiding, because when they did an ultrasound to confirm it, he was fine.
I have felt that feeling before, where something just doesn't feel right. It is scary, but the doctor told me not to worry if I don't have pains that don't subside within 10 minutes and et stronger or I have any type of bleeding. Maybe this gives you an idea when your body is just playing games with you.
I hope you have a great and happy pregnancy! Good luck and best wishes!

It's normally around 6-7 weeks that you can hear the heart beat for the first time through an ultrasound. Through a doppler it's 10-12 weeks

On your 12 or 16 week check up you will be able to hear the heartbeat. You only get to see the heartbeat before then.
Try not to worry about the tenderness and morning sickness going away, because it tends to go away as you enter your second trimester. I am only 9 weeks and i am starting to be able to the the water actually touch my chest now and i dont feel as horrible as i use to.
As long as you havent had sever bleeding(filling 3 pads within an hour) or sever cramping(worse then menstrual cramps) you should be fine. Your still very early in the stage and when your only this far along you dont tend to "feel" pregnant. That glorious feeling will come when the little one begins to flip and move and kick and then youll wish s/he will calm down. Just try not to stress because when you stress the baby stresses too. Congrats!!!

With my son my OB wouldn't even attempt to find the heartbeat with the doppler until I was past 16 weeks. She was an idiot and claimed we wouldn't be able to find it because I wasa bit bigger in size.
With my current pregnancy we heard the heartbeat at 12 weeks on the doppler.
Hearing the heartbeat all depends on the size and location of the uterus.

sometimes doctors cant find the heartbeat so early... not because its not there but because its so small and it could be hidden by your pelvic bone... I was 14 weeks when I first heard my baby... and some doctors like to wait that long just so that when they try to find the heart the mom wont be freaked if the doctor cant find it... keep your head up...

Mine would not try to find it until 14 weeks + for that reason so we dont worry if he cant find it , as a result of being to early .. I doubt you will be able to hear it at 11 weeks.
Good Luck try not to worry to much :)

You know you can order a doppler off of ebay or some other websites to ease your tensions. I am thinking of doing it in a few weeks b/c i am paranoid, and it is expensive but i figure 100 bucks to help me sleep better was easy.
