Hmmm.... I got married March 3, 2007. My husband and I went to Disney World and we were afraid our rings would come flying off on a ride or something. So, we left it in the safe in our hotel room. I wore mine for about a month after and I realized my husband didn't have his on. Perplexed, I asked why. He said he thought I understood, although our rings were beautiful, meaningful( expensive to boot) the greatest thing he got to do was marry me. It wasn't about the rings. It was about us. Also he'd washed his hands with a harsh soap and forgot to put it back on!!! Lol!!! But that made me feel so special. So, now, my wedding ring is sitting neatly in the jewelry box next to his. We are still married and uber happy. I read your account. If you are that unhappy, either try to work it out or move on. There is no use being in such an unhappy marriage.

Mrs WC here.
The wedding ring is a token of a promise. It has no beginning and no end.
I wear my ring 99.9 percent of the time. I only take it off if my fingers swell, or I need to clean it.
My husband can't wear a ring at work, but wears the puzzle ring I gave him when he's not at work.

Every time I leave the house I make sure my rings are on - they aren't a symbol of property, but to show the world I AM married, and proud of it!! And on the very odd occassion I forget, I turn around and go home to get them.....

First, you are not property ever, you are a human being. Second, luckily for me, I have a wonderful marriage. However, this is my second marriage and the first one was hell. If you are not happy, get out/

I no longer wear mine, as I am no longer married. It sounds like you're close to getting in the same category as I am. I am sorry to hear that. Really.
