Can you tell me why I should or shouldn't move to Houston, TX? If you liked it what did you like about it. If you didn't what didn't you like about it? Would you recommend a move?

That depends on your likes and interests and where you're moving from. There are some parts of the country that I'd never leave to come to Houston. But, there are parts I'd gladly leave. The weather's great down here. There's plenty to do. I hate the traffic. I hate that everyone drives big gas-guzzling trucks when they don't really need them. But, I love that I'm not shoveling snow right now.

I have traveled pretty much all over the US, and now live in DC, but Houston was home for 7 years. I personally loved it, the people were really nice, there was plenty to do, had a good job, and a great circle of friends. Its easy to meet people there, and for such a big city the cost of living is relatively low compared to other big cities. You also dont have to have a fall or winter wardrobe. The sun always shines and if you dont like the weather, stick around for a day it will change. yes, there is traffic but its the THIRD largest city in the United States, DUH! ---All in all, Houston is a great place to live in my opinion!

It is hard to say because I don't know what you like, what you don't like, what you can or can not afford or do I know if you were to move in apt. or house, But if it was me my favorite side of town is the eastside such as Channelview area.

I personally do NOT like heat, ghettos, crime & traffic & wish it wasn't so damn congested. BUT that's my opinion & I am moving soon. Look it it & see for yourself.
