Does anyone have increased bowel movements, and feels an increase in temperature during their periods? If you do, how do you cope with it? It REALLY drives me crazy!

I have noticed this too. A way to make it better is to eat better which means less greasy foods and more fiberous foods like carrots, broccoli. Peppermint tea helps with bloating and stomach issues too

Answers to your question depends on your age, but in any case, I would see a doctor. Generally speaking, if you are under 35 and you feel feverish (have you taken your temp just to be sure?) Do you have bad cramping? If so, an increase in bowel movements could be pressure on the bowel from the cramping. If you are over 35, you may be experiencing the onset of menopause. There are many symptoms of menopause; hot flashes being one of them, along with erratic periods. A gynecologist can help you get through the misery with hormone therapy, but beware, the risks of this therapy may outweigh the benefits. Be sure you ask questions. Unless you are totally desperate, try over the counter meds first. Good luck!

Yes. I read that the hormones have something to do with the increase bowel movements during that time of the month.

I think you are suffring from IBS(Irritable bowel synodrome), see an M.D soon. I suffer from the same thing too, try eating less spices and avoid masalas. Eat a Banana after every meal-that helps.

i sure do! not much you can do. i think it's from the bloating, it causes everything to go out of wack. you could try some raspberry leaf tea, it helps cramping & it might help bloating too.
