Should we pass a constitutional amendment to ban campaign contributions and political ads from lobbyist, corporations, interest groups, unions and industry ?

And make it where, only individual citizens are allowed to donate to political campaigns ?

Make it where, you can only donate, to politicians running in your State or for President.

Then also cap the donations to $1,000.

That way, the rich, cannot donate to political campaigns, in every state.

We definitely got to do something. Votes should count more than dollars. Our whole goverment is turning into a financial scam.

One way to confront it on a personal level is to be an informed voter and not fall for the advertising or other BS, and help educate the people around you.

I think that is something many would get behind, but that would give richer politicians an undue advantage. They could afford more advertising out of pocket that way. I think capping campaign spending would be more effective than capping donations. I like most of what you have though.

No.

We may need a law or a policy, but we don't need it as a Constitutional amendment.

I don't see this as a Constitutional issue. I agree with what you want to do, but I think the Constitution works better if we don't tack a lot of policies onto it that can be handled in other ways. It could be a U.S. statute or any one of a number of other means of managing the policy. But the Constitution needs to be simplified--if any changes were to be made to it--not made more complex.

awsome idea, but do you think Congress would do it? Hell no, it's not in their interest...the only way to get her done is to pass the N.I.
