Call the doctor first, tell him your systems. He will be the one to tell you to go to the hospital. Then there he would go to you.
My mother called the doctor, although he was in the hospital doing a c-section, and he told her to run. She went and before the doctor even arrived I was crowning. My mom states that I was an easy baby to have. The doctor ran as fast as he could and he states that he almost had to catch me in the air.

count how far between contractions you are. Make sure they are regular and go to the hospital when you are about 6-8 minutes apart. If they keep coming after about 30-45 minutes, I would go straight to the hospital. They will call our doctor when you get there. Good luck!

I suggest asking your doctor what the protocol is. Usually, you call the doctor, then proceed to the hospital, but I'd definitely check with him.

Congrats!!!! I think its your choice. With my first I called my doct and they paged him but i still didnt see him until i delivered which was tons of hours later. and with my secong i just went to the hospital and they contacted him. and i think thats what they normally do anyways is when you show up at the hospital they will ask who your doct is like all the time no matter if your having a baby or not. they will have all your docts info on file and let him know everything thats going on. and if your doct is unavailable then they will call the on call doct for your doct. hope this help.

Well, I don't think your baby is going to wait around to see what you or your Doctor decides to do- so I'd head for the Hospital & see what develops THERE. Good luck! :)

you are able to desire to start beginning up your mouth and asking questions. Ask your scientific expert what the technique is that he prefers. needless to say, if something is erroneous, you in simple terms flow to the scientific institution. in lots of circumstances, you do no longer rush off to the scientific institution the 2d you flow into hard work. you're meant to attend till contractions attain a definite point.

You go when you feel like you need to be there. I know it is confusing, just endure the contractions untill they start hurting more than you feel comfortable handling on your own at home. Don't go in too early...you could be there for awhile or sent home, esp. if this is your first child.

if you go into labour in the middle of the night, you need to call the hospital and a ambos. get them to come and get you if no one is with you at the time. dont drive yourself , thats not a good idea because anything can happen. dont bother calling your doctor , just call the ambos and they will come get it. thats what there, their for and it doesnt matter what the time is either. good luck and congrats. oh and btw the hospital when you get there will call your doctor and let he/she know your there.
