It won't affect your lactation in any way . . . however, you should really wait to have sex after your 6 week check up. If you have not properly healed from delivery, you may be susceptible to infection. Contact your doctor to be sure your body can handle it.

I'm actually impressed you have the urge to want to engage. It took me almost 2 months before the thought even crossed my mind! LOL!! Lucky you!!

Sex will not affect your lactating....and if you are still bleeding, DO NOT HAVE SEX or put anything else in there. It can cause an infection. Seriously I am just about a month post partum, and am still bleeding, do you think I am having an easy time dealing with no sex? Not having sex has never been a thought for me, feels far too insane, and doesn't feel even remotely right. I MISS it and I miss my Relationship. But I had my son and this is what I have to deal with. Damn VBAC. Sure I had the delivery I wanted but I don't have the relationship that I want...right now. Bah to this. I just want to say screw it to the healing period and jump my husbands bones.
You can have oral, foreplay or anal sex. And not one of those have brought me the same amazing feelings as real sex brings to me. Not even close. But NO SEX for you either.

having sex will cause a let down, if thats what you mean by "affecting" your lactation. But who cares? Slippery when wet can be fun!
As far as your bleeding, it is usually better to wait until the bleeding stops to resume sex. When your bleeding has stopped, your uterus should be fully healed.
But... the most important caution is to not disturb your perineum until it is healed. If you have not torn or had an episiotomy, then there is nothing down there that needs to heal, only the placenta site, which is way out of his reach (I hope!) I've had sex as early as 3 days after givig birth, when I had an intact perineum.

Definitely, not but it will endanger yourself. Not just infection but for your own peace of mind, too. Yes, you may have missed it (a lot) but be a little patient for your health sake. As advised by my O.B. if your C.S. do it after 3 mos (what!??) but if normal, after 2 mos. Well, you'll know it as you would have to assess yourself actually before doing it. Good luck!

Do you mean that during sex your breasts will leak? Your breasts might leak during sex. It doesn't hurt anything though. I would wait until you stop bleeding before you have sex though. Let you body heal completely.
