I was wondering if there is anything differnt as far as lenth or size between a left and right cv joint on 4wd 94 full size blazer. I know that the right side is starting to go and I need to change it. The other problem is that I live in Japan and getting parts is not so easy and Ive come across a used left cv and wondering if it will fit on the right side. Hope you can help

I own a shop, and to get creative is what you will have to do. If there are difference in the length, doesn't mean you couldn't use the parts to make a good one with. Many CV-Joints are not bad just because they pop, but can be repaired with some grease, and another boot to keep the grease in it. If you purchase the used one, this might give you the parts you need to repair yours with. The only difference is in the length, the rest is the same, and could be used to resolve the problem. Plastic wire ties come in real handy when putting the boots back on. They may not hold as well as a metal clamp would, but they will work. Use two on each if you can. They are pretty tricky to get apart, and back together as the snap ring that holds it in place can be a real pain in the neck, but you can do it if you take your time. If a boot is dried out, it can be made more flexible with WD-40, and easier to work with. CV joints have been around since WW-2, and never used boots back then, but they sure popped a lot until someone figured out they could be made to run quiet by using a boot with grease. Popping doesn't mean they are worn out, so you may want to consider making one up from the two of them, and use the best parts out of all of it.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

Nope, you have to get the replacement CV axle for the side that is damaged. A right one won't fit the left and vis-versa. The reason is look at which side of the vehicle the differential is set on (right/left) so whichever side the differential is on that side CV axle is going to be shorter than the one on the other side.
