What if you love yourself, and the person you love doesn't love you, and wants you to stop loving yourself, and trys to convince you your unworthy so he can have even more control, and power over you?
and slowly you begin to believe him

Yes, it is true.
And it is not hard to do. If you take care of yourself, then basically, you are able to love yourself.
If you help others, then basically you love others. Once you love others, they, in turn, shall respond and return your love with love.
See?
It then becomes like asking, what came first, the chicken or the egg? What comes first, others showing you love, you showing others love, or you loving yourself?

Perhaps, but sometimes in the process of loving someone else you come to love yourself as well... because they love you. Then all of a sudden you find yourself worthy... or some such thing.

Well I don't love myself. In fact I have a lot of areas that I could improve on. But that doesnt mean I don't love others. I would die for my children and my husband and I love my mother every day by looking after her.
