To quote the inimitable Abe Simpson: A little from column A, a little from column B. There's really no answer to this question because of the complexity of human behavior: within each of us we all have the potential for the greatest human good as well as the greatest human evil.

I would say I am completely numb to the actions of evil people( I listen to CNN all the time; and with the war, the evil acts against children, shootings, etc. it's just too much for my mind to process. Just a while ago I walked down to 7-11 and bought some stuff and the guy who rang me up joked with me and he could clearly see I was depressed and it made me feel a little better. The amount of kindness there still is within people amazes me completely in the state this world is in.

In my opinion, I am amazed by the amount of kindness in the world and it far out shines the evil but what appears to sell in the media are all the outlandish, evil, deeds. I would like for focus to be on the positive rather than the negative. BFN

I'm constantly amazed at the amount of kindness that we're capable of. Why? Because, in the midst of evil, goodness can flourish.
Hope your holiday season is full of all the things that bring you joy, peace, and satisfaction!

kindness. evil is easy, all u need is an excuse. Take Michael Monsoor for ex, a U.S. Navy seal in Iraq. While in a second floor a grenade came through the window. Out of his team, he was closets to the door. But his eyes never left the grenade. He threw his chest on it, killing himself and saving the life of every other seal team member in that room.
P.S. A violent explosion of a hand grenade does not leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling inside...

The amount of evil people are capable of...There have been so many gun robberies around here w/killings...and several kids & adults have been going around SHOOTING & BURNING animals....How sick is that....So every time I think i've seen it all, there's another horrific story on the news....I remember when we used to be able to leave the house & you didn't have to even lock your doors, and you could even leave your keys in your car, but you don't dare to do that now.....

It seems like evil is becoming more rampant in this day and age. I mean, just in the US, we've had 3 or 4 mass murders in a 2 week time-frame. I think though that we hear about acts of kindness less frequently because they aren't as widely publicized. It's really hard to say.
