WOW! You guys are making me feel guilty. I thought there were a few more people out there who don't always have cash on them. Plus, like one answerer, I give to other charities and tithe at church. Give, give, give leaves little for my own family. Anyone willing to sympathize and AGREE with me??

No. I prefer to stare them down, mentally daring them to ask me for donations. If they avert their gaze before asking for a handout, then I've won.

I always say hello and Merry Christmas. They are out in the cold for a long time ringing that bell. I think even if I can't give every time I should be nice enough to say hello. Love, honey

NO!!! I keep a purse pocket just for every one of them. They are usually homeless or shelter people themselves.
