Hey I have a great intrest in gothic bands....Do you know of any good ones? To give you an idea of what i like my favorite bands are: Blutengel, Evanescence (i know i spelled it wrong), entwine, poisonblack, charon, within temptation. I am looking for lesser known bands.......not ones like flyleaf and cradle of filth.
I don't mind if they are in different languages....

London After Midnight, Clan of Xymox, Love Spirals Downwards, and Faith and the Muse are some of my favorite goth bands. I highly recommend LAM and Xymox.
Bands similar to Within Temptation:
Nightwish, Elis, Sirenia, Xandria, and Lacuna Coil.
Bands similar to Blutengel:
The Cruxshadows, Project Pitchfork, Flesh Field, and VNV Nation.

Evanescence isn't gothic, neither is Within Temptation.
You mean bands like Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure, Funker Vogt, And One, Die Form, Wumpscut, Apoptygma Berserk, VNV Nation, Nine Inch Nails, Type O Negative, Razed in Black, Hollywood Morgue, Anathema Device, Bella Morte, In Tenebris, Amber Spyglass, The Birthday Massacre, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Morrissey, The Smiths, and the list goes forth.

Don't know if I would consider Evanescence goth, but that's probably because I'm old school (I like 80's/90's goth).
If you don't mind more upbeat goth, there's the Astrovamps. Other than that, I'm not familiar with any new bands. If you have a local record store with a decent goth section, you could try browsing it.
Edit:
I agree with most of what the person above me Hecatemacbeth) says, but Morrissey and the Smiths are NOT goth (though I like them a lot). Nine Inch Nails is more industrial than goth. (though a lot of goths like them).
