I'm 14...and I shave about once a week, and my dad shaves everyday. I want to avoid the hassle of shaving everyday, before its to late.

Is there any cream or something that slows the growth of the hair?

Most men will end up shaving everyday. It's just something that you'll end up having to do. I hate shaving, but I do it. Just part of being a man.
Just be glad that you don't have to shave your legs and armpits like girls do!!!

The only suggestion i would have is to wax it off, or maybe if you are only having to shave once a week then it should be still thin enough that you could possilby use Nair (but i don't know if you can use it on your face). The first might not feel so well, but you wont have to shave as often and it may keep it from coming in as thick, and the second, well, it stinks! and it would be right under your nose! The most permanent way to take care of it is to have electrolisis or laser hair removal, and that can be expensive. GOOD LUCK!

Time to step up and be a man, as that is what you are changing into. Certain you will be shaving daily as you get older, so what, just will be part of your normal routine. There is no cream or lotion or other drug to stop or slow down hair growth "before it is too late". You entered puberty, it is already too late. Just wait till you start growing hair in your crack and on your ears!

Unfortunately, because your 14 and your dad is a grown man, you might inherit his hair grown gene. My brother was unable to grow his go-tee and have it connect to his side burns at one point. Guess who also had that same issue? My dad. At 14 your body is still changing, so there is a chance that you might get lucky and will not have to shave as often as your dad even when you're his age. Take great care of your skin (girls love smooth skin-no icky bumps please) by investing a great astringent, and making sure you use a clean razor or clippers when shaving, that should keep skin nice, clear, and clean, and keep the hair growing the way it normally should.
