I just got a new notebook computer and have the feeling it may be used, had many google searches in the system. Is there a way to check the systems to see if this is a used computer

If it had google searches in the system it may be used.

If you bought it from a legit store, it might have been a floor product so people were going through it.

You can always call Microsoft and ask if your computer was registered.

You can use data recovery software, such as Get Data Back and see what personal files, that are not yours, that it may find.

You can not recover data until you buy the software, but it should provide you with evidence of a previous owner. This is excellent software and it is best to install it on a different computer and slave the drive you want to recover data from on that computer.

check the dates of the search files you can do that by finding the history folder right click on a history file and click on properties it will give you the details including the date,

check on the back for manufactured date
