Well there is no legal way of knowing which penny stocks will shoot up unless your helping in the manipulation of them. With that said if you decide to trade that OTC BB stuff or the Pinksheet stocks be vary cautious because these exchanges list companies that are shady and practically garbage in the first place. If you want to speculate trade the legit penny stocks that can be found on the NYSE or NASDAQ that have high volume and can at any moment pop. E-Trade with all of its current issues may have potential (ET) or Sirius with their upcoming merger (SIRI) or other companies like LVLT, PALM, etc. I would mess that that type of penny stock myself versus the way unknowns that get spammed to you in your email accounts. I've fell for the penny trap that can be enticing at times but the reality is you get what you pay for. If it is some hot energy stock chances are some major player would have bought that company out.

Good luck with your quick gains if possible!

penny stocks are extremely risky and sometimes fake - you could lose your entire investment very quickly - don't invest in anything that is not on the major exchanges

To paraphrase Will Rogers (you do know who he is, right?): "Only buy penny stocks that are going to go up. If they don't go up, don't buy them."

Good luck.

You may also want to keep in mind this time tested truth: "A fool and his money are soon parted."
