I am looking at all of these and wanted to know if anyone has done this and what they recommend. I don't know if i want the one with the changing table part on top or what. I live in a tiny apartment so I won't have room for a crib just yet. Are all of these a 15 pound weight limit? How long will a baby stay under 15 pounds?

I used my son's for him when he got too big for his bassinet and we didn't have room for his crib at the time. I used the bassinet part until he started turning over and then used the bottom part. Babies R Us sells quilted sheets for these and regular sheets.

I didn't even know the pack and play I had had a bassinet until my daughter was 4 months old, lol. But once I found it, we used it all the time, along with the changing station. That changing station is worth the extra though, otherwise you always get accidents on the floor, couch or bed while changing. Guarenteed. The changing table is wipe off and easy to clean. Plus it's sloped to help prevent rollover, but doesn't have any straps. Once baby is over 15 lbs, you just drop the bottom section into the bottom of the pack and play, and use is that way. My daughter sleeps in her pack n play when we visit or her crib now, but when she was tiny and didn't roll over, we used the bassinet all the time. My neighbor's 2 month old sleeps in one downstairs and up, she has two set up. Kids grow fast, some are born at 10 and reach 15 fairly quickly. My daughter is a year old tommorrow and weighs 24 lbs, but shot up from 7 11 at birth to 18 at 4 months. But she's tall like her 7 ft. papa, lol. We used the bassinet until she was about 20 lbs though, I thought the weight limit was 25, lol. I have the pooh days of hunny pack n play from 2006. Good luck, and if you're space challenged, definitely go for the bassinet and changing table, it's a great spacesaver, since you can leave the changing table on until they can stand up and get it lol(about 8 months old) Good luck!

Graco Pack N Play Bassinet

I have the fisher price rainforest pack n play.

I used the bassinet for quite a while. it came in VERY handy when my son was a newborn.

It does indeed hold 15 lbs. I think most are that way. The changing table part holds 20 or 25 lbs i think? My son is on the smaller side, but he is 9 mos. and is 15 1/2 lbs.

The only thing, look for a pack n play with a changing table that is higher up. I know graco makes some. I found it to hurt your back a bit by bending over to change the baby. Other then that, i love mine!

I would go with the pack & play. The top part of it has the 15 lb weight limit, but then you can take that out and the bottom has a much larger weight limit. It depends on how big your baby is to know how long he will stay under 15 lbs. The bassinet is a bad idea because they grow out of it so fast. You can use the pack & play until well over 1 year of age. Congrats and Good Luck!

I used the pack n play bassinet until he was about 3 months.(My son was born preemie though, so I don't know what the average weight is at for 15lbs) I thought it was great. He didn't seem to mind it either. It was really convenient. I'd roll it in the bedroom at night and out in the living room during the day. :) It's small and safe. :) He sleeps in a regular crib now that he is bigger.

I used the bassinet in the playpen. He was able to use it for almost 4 months. Even though I had him in his room in his crib since day one. I still used the bassinet when he was napping and my hubby was at work. I was still a little bit down since giving birth. So I needed him close. But at night he slept in his crib. The only time he sleeps in my room is when he is sick.
