If you see the picture i use in my profile what style and why would he cut his mustache that way.

His mustache was a traditional type mustache. In private his associate, Ernst Hanfstaengl said " that ridiculous smudge which made him look like he had not cleaned his nose". To Hitler in person in the early days of the Nazi party he told him tactfully that it was unfashionable.

To this Hitler responded " If it is not the fashion now, it will be later" he said " because I wear it".

So obviously Hitler wanted to make a unique impression to stand out and create. He didnt create a fashion craze but it did leave an impression!

The reason he did that was because he wanted to be symbolised with it like Lenin in those days was. Lenin was bald and had a French beard. Such a style immediately got Lenin to mind. This inspired Hitler to do something which would immediately be recognisable with his face. So he decided to cut his moustache in that fashion. It became very Hitler-like.

I think he succeeded in doing that.

It was simply one of many styles that were popular in Europe in the early years of the Twentieth Century. He discovered that it made him look a touch more distinguished, which for a politician is a plus worth keeping.

I don't know but he trimmed his pubes the same way

I think he was covering up his harelip.
