i was done when Alomar spit in the face of an umpire, was fined and told to sit out several games.........but because his team was in the playoffs the penalties were put off until the following season.

i hope baseball collapses.

it speaks volumes that we are currently dealing with a credit crunch in the housing market due to the fact that loans were made knowing the borrowers couldnt pay their bills. we as a society are eager to ignore obvious pitfalls as long as some short term money can be made......THAT is the American dream

Baseball's a great sport. Second only to football.

Major League Baseball, on the other hand, is a craphole. It's taken a great legacy and turned it into a joke.

MLB is a joke. I attend about 30 to 40 minor league games a year.
What the players may lack in experience they more than make up for it in hustle.
They're chasing the dream of making it to the majors, and are unspoiled by the protection of a multi year contract.

I live close to two major league teams, but have absolutely no desire to see a MBL game., and seldom watch one on TV.( 3 hours for a game??? Ridiculous!)

I have come to regard professional sports (including baseball) with great disdain.

I have much more fun watching our local kids play various sports. And it doesn't cost hardly anything, there are no big crowds to fight, no 100-times-the-cost concessions, etc etc.

Honestly, I will never pay ever to watch a professional sport --- Not even hockey, which I still play. That's what televisions are for anyhow.

All professional sports leagues are heading down hill, but especially MLB now with all the drug scandals. It's pathetic that a good number of inductees may have asterisks by their name.
