absolutely not!!!! if plan b is abortion then you would have to consider all birth control abortion! plan B only prevents the egg from attaching from the uterus, it in no way, Kills a baby or takes a life. plan b has to be taken within so many hours to be effective, after that if you are already pregnant it will not cause a abortion or miscarriage. Abortion, is after you know you are pregnant. I don't know about other women, but I never knew I was pregnant until after my missed period. usually by this point you are at least 4 weeks along if not more... I usually found out in my 6th week, anyway. in all of my pregnancy's my doctor has done ultra sounds and I was able to see my babies heart beat!!! that is the difference between the two, birth control and plan b PREVENT pregnancy, abortion however ends pregnancy!!!!!!

It takes 7-10 days for the fertilized egg to implant in the uterus, and if it doesn't implant the cells will not grow and divide, so no baby. I would rather have a woman that would be a bad mother, or a woman on drugs take the MA pill than have a drug addicted or abused child. The MA pills has to be taken within 72 hours after having sex. It will not abort an already established pregnancy.

No, Plan B prevents fertilization of an egg OR if an egg has already been ferltilized, it prevents implantation. Many times a fertilized egg does not end up implanting and becoming a viable pregnancy all on its own. However, I don't think it's a good idea to keep using Plan B instead of normal birth control methods.

Plan B is not the same thing as an abortion. Its just a high dose of birth control. When my nuvaring fell out I had to take Plan B just in case. You never know if you would have gotten pregnant or not.... Don't feel guilty if you have taken it.

No. When you take Plan B, you dont know if you are pregnant or not. It stops fertilization from occuring. And even if you were pregnant and it did end the pregnancy, at that point it is only cells. Not even a fetus. You have to take it within like a 72 hour time period (not really sure), so within 3 days of conception - there isnt much there.

No. Abortion is aborting an already growing, living fetus. Plan B keeps your eggs from fertilizing from the start.

get it straight people, it is plain and simple and in NOOOOO way abortion. Plan B keeps the sperm from fertilizing the egg, period. Therefore, there is nothing to abort! If sperm has already met the egg, then Plan B can do nothing!!!!

No. Many people don't understand the difference though. The morning after pill (plan B) only prevents the possible fertlization of the ovum and sperm, it does not cause a pregnancy that has already occured to abort.
However, there IS a pill that is used to induce a miscarriage once a pregnancy has already occured called the RU486.

I agree with the first person. That's the reason it is the morning after pill. You take it before the cells start to divided and grow. So, it is not a baby in my opinion.
